What is hyperpigmentation?
Brown-ish spots or discoloured patchesacross your cheeks, chin and forehead.
Causes
Hyperpigmentation is theresult of our pigment-producing cells becoming hyperactive and unevenly distributed. This usually happens after a direct injury to the skin - think skin inflammation fromUV damage, zits, and harsh chemicals.
Ingredients to look out for
Vitamin A (Retinol) - Use at night
Fast-tracks cell repair, reduces damage, and boosts collagen production.
Vitamin C
This potent antioxidant brightens and evens skin tone and fights inflammation. Plus, it neutralises free-radical damage.
Glycolic Acid
This Alpha Hydroxy Acid reduces dead skin cells to enhance cell renewal and reveal a brighter complexion.
Top tips!
1. Regularly (but gently) exfoliate to increase and enhance cell renewal.
2. Always protect your skin from UVA-UVB rays with SPF and avoid prolonged sun exposure.
3. Be patient, it takes time.
