Description
Merthiolate Spray is used for Peel dry skin, Bacterial infections, Fungal infections, Surfactant, Fluorimetric reagent, Removing carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulphide from natural gas and other gases, Food additive, Sequestering agent, Burns of cornea, Hypercalcemia and other conditions. Merthiolate Spray may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Merthiolate Spray contains Acetone, Alcohol, Ethylenediamine, Monoethanolamine, Sodium Edetate and Thimerosal as active ingredients.
Merthiolate Spray works by stimulating sclerosing activity; binding to and sequestering the calcium ions; retarding the cellular functions dependent on calcium signaling; raising the histamine release and cell-mediated immunity; acting as a gamma-aminobutyric acid agonist; disposing of poisonous effects in the body through normal metabolic processes; increasing the effects of the inhibitory neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid.
