Ingredients: The main chemical compound found in Lavender is linalool at about 36%, linalyl acetate at about 30%, 1,8-cineole, β-ocimene, terpinen-4-ol, and camphor. These compounds are responsible for making this oil such a strong anti-microbial oil. Linalool is responsible for Lavender being such a high anti-fungal and anti-microbial essential oil. Linalyl acetate is a potent component responsible for the essential oil being a great anti-hypertensive, anti-diabetic, neuro-protective, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. 1,8-cineole is known for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anticancer activities. β-ocimene has uplifting effects, is an anti-convulsant, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties. Terpinen-4-ol is a strong antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory. Champhor is the one we can thank for these properties: anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-pruritic (used to relieve itching), antiseptic and being an expectorant.
