Dosage and Directions: This product should be diluted with water and used as a beverage to complement the solid food diet. Wash your hands and utensils before preparing the formula. Use safe, drinkable water that has previously been heated at a rolling boil for 5 minutes. Allow the water to cool and follow mixing instructions carefully. Only use the scoop enclosed in this tin to measure Similac Gold Comfort 3. Prepare only one feed at a time. If you need to prepare more than one feed, it must be refrigerated at 2-4 degrees C and used within 24 hours. Once feeding begins, use within one hour or discard. Always hold your baby upright while feeding. Note: Prepared formula may also be fed from a cup. Preparing a single feed: 1. Thoroughly wash cup, feeding bottle, teat, cap and all utensils to be used in preparing the feed. 2. After rinsing soap from the utensils, boil them for 5 minutes. 3. Provide a clean surface on which to prepare the formula. 4. In a separate pan, heat safe drinkable water to a rolling boil for 5 minutes and allow it to cool. 5. Pour the correct amount of warm, previously boiled water into the sterilised feeding bottle or cup. 6. Fill scoop, then scrape level with the straight edge of a knife. 7. Add one level scoop of Similac gold comfort 3 to each 60 ml of water in the bottle or cup. 8. Mix until completely dissolved. Test temperature and feed. 9. Discard unused formula within 1 hour. Suggested feeding schedule: Approximate age of baby - to prepare one feed warm (previously boiled) water, ml - to prepare one feed number of level scoops - approximate number of feeds per 24 hours. 1-3 years - 180 - 3 - 3. If endorsed by your doctor or medical advisor, follow medical advice carefully on how much and how often to feed. These are only suggested feeding intakes; every child is different.
