Description
Mucus and phlegm are similar, yet different:
- Mucus is a thinner secretion from your nose and sinuses.
- Phlegm is thicker and is made by your throat and lungs.
Chest-Eeze may provides respiratory support acting as a Mucolytic, Expectorant, Bronchodilator and may assists as additional support with the management of Asthma symptoms.
Bronchodilator
Bronchodilators are a type of medication that may improve breathing easier by relaxing the muscles in the lungs and widening the airways (bronchi).
Expectorant
Expectorants thin the mucus, breaking up the fluids that cause congestion and by clearing thick mucus from the airway, making it easier for the mucus to be coughed up.
Mucolytic
Certain bonds hold the mucus (sputum) in your lungs together. Mucolytics work by breaking these bonds. When these bonds are broken, the mucus becomes less sticky and less thick, and is easier to cough up.
